What is a Water Softener?
A water softener removes hardness ions (Calcium & Magnesium) using ion-exchange resin. Regular regeneration with brine (NaCl) restores resin capacity. Softened water protects boilers, RO membranes, and reduces scaling in pipes & appliances.

How Water Softeners Work — 4 Step Overview
- Raw Water Pretreatment: PSF / ACF / Sediment filters to remove suspended solids & chlorine.
- Ion Exchange: Water passes through resin; Ca²⁺ & Mg²⁺ replaced by Na⁺ on resin beads.
- Brine Regeneration: Resin is regenerated with brine (NaCl) periodically via automatic MPV.
- Post Treatment: Rinse, pH correction (if needed) and storage in treated water tank.

Yes — we supply high-quality ion-exchange resin and undertake resin replacement & regeneration services during AMC.
Can water softener be used before RO?
Yes — softeners are recommended before RO to reduce scaling and increase membrane life; anti-scalant dosing may still be required for very high TDS.
